About Dr. Payam Ataii
Dr. Ataii is an award winning graduate of Tufts Dental School ranking first in his clinical class with a Harvard Externship. He has helped treat over a thousand clear aligner cases using Invisalign® & ClinCheck® system serves as an Invisalign Expert as Align Faculty. As a key opinion leader in the dental industry, Dr. Ataii has spearheaded beta testing, clinical research projects and holds multiple patents for which have resulted in the clear aligner dental treatment modulates with peer review awards and dental journal publications on both national and international with media features. For the past decade, Dr. Ataii has presented lectures around the country on his research and accumulated findings with thousands of his peers, serves on multiple board and is a recognized KOL, training doctors & team members nationally and internationally helping dental offices reap the rewards of modern technology for their patients, and is a strong believer in using Invisalign® in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Ataii has received multiple achievement awards and publications in Dental Research Journals and is Founder of The National Association of Dental Professionals®, Board Member of The Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Faculty at Align Technology, Beta Testing KOL at 3m ESPE, Member of the Airway Centric, and practicing dentistry at his private group practice in Laguna Hills, Ca. His perseverance in research spearheaded him Eight Dental Journal publications and three Dental Peer Review Award. Dr. Ataii holds three patents in the dental industry creating the latest technology for oral cancer detection, sleep appliances and digital sensor-nano technology in orthodontics; he has also been recognized by The Academy of Dental Learning as the Top Dental Speaker in 2010. It’s no wonder that he has been featured both locally and nationally on networks such as ABC, NBC, KNBC and KTLA news for some of his published research. His competence and wit led him to become the makeover dentist on the hit series “Whose Wedding is it Anyways?,” which aired on the Style Network and E!
Dr. Ataii’s passion for giving the gift of a healthy smile and his charitable expression of sincerity have paved the way to recognition not only among his colleagues and patients. The Valiant Women’s Organization of Mission Hospital Foundation selected Dr. Ataii as the Ultimate Makeover Dentist. This benefited the Pediatric Operating Pavilion at CHOC at Mission, as well as Mission Hospital at the 8th Annual Valiant Women Afternoon Tea, which took place at the Ritz Carlton of Laguna Niguel.
As an accredited national speaker, and a champion of his patients’ dental health, Dr. Ataii believes both his patients and peers should reap the rewards of advanced clinical knowledge. Dr. Ataii has been lecturing on his accumulated data for the past decade to thousands of his peers, bringing forth changes in dentistry, where patients can reap the rewards of modern technology, bringing forth a new dental era.
